We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. Each frame is handcrafted in and imported from Italy, and are sourced from sustainable forestry programs. All you have to do is pick which frame and linen works best for you. Mother nature had decided to set off a display of wildflowers the likes of which I had yet before seen. I stare, even now after the final photograph is complete, at the awe of the moment. The mechanical elements of tripping the shutter were rather mundane, as compared to the emotional excitement experienced while I stood there that early morning in the soft subtle light of pre dawn.
The color, variety and vibrancy of this sea of flowers is mesmerizing, calming, peace evoking and spiritually renewing. I feel & sense these things while viewing this image. I do this work in the hope that others too can feel and sense these emotions, for it is these emotions that allow us to enjoy life.
