We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. Each frame is handcrafted in and imported from Italy, and are sourced from sustainable forestry programs. All you have to do is pick which frame and linen works best for you. There still are places on the face of this planet that can make you feel like you’re on another world, say M.A.R.S.
I used to fancy myself as a ‘climber’, but that fantasy didn’t last very long. All it took was a look at some of the places real climbers were going to decide it wasn’t for me. Instead I found that walking around a mountain was a lot easier than climbing to the top of one. However in the early 80’s while still trying to be one of ‘those guys’ this place had beckoned. So many years have past since that time and my heart longed to return to witness the spectacle of sunrise once more.
First light can be a magical moment in the desert and M.A.R.S is no different, save one thing…here the silence is so pure you can’t hear anything. And I mean nothing at all. No airplanes, no cars, no crowded city sidewalks, not even your cares. In today’s world of sirens and honking horns it is a respite unlike anything you may ever experience.
