We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. In a couple of days I was scheduled to host a workshop just outside of Crested Butte. But until then I was on my own to explore and see what I might see.
I found myself in a pristine aspen forest just before the sun had finished its work for the day. The conditions were absolutely, stunningly, perfect. The fall colors were just right, the wind had abated and the silence was deafening. Yes, that’s perfection.
