We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. Say Something Rodney. That was my mind speaking to me in the moment. It wasn’t so easy, as I was speechless.
It’s not too often that happens to me, but every now and then everything comes together and peace comes over me completely. Maybe it was the thought, which crept in, reminding me of how special the relationship my wife and I have. As I enter the 25th year being a professional hiker, it’s 2020, and she and I enter the 34th year of our marriage.
Not unlike the scene before me that morning we have had cloudy days, fog filled moments but we always were able to see past it all to the clear and beautiful skies that lay ahead. I’m looking forward to the next 34 years together.
