We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. Each frame is handcrafted in and imported from Italy, and are sourced from sustainable forestry programs. All you have to do is pick which frame and linen works best for you. I stood there, bathed in the eerie glow of the countdown clock at NASA and couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation of what was to come. It was 3 in the morning and the world seemed to hold its breath.
Beside me stood my son, his eyes wide with a mix of wonder and exhaustion as he gazed up at the night sky The stars spattered the night sky, the red glow remarkable.
In the distance, the shuttle stood tall on the launch pad barely seen due to the powerful lights that pierced through the darkness. It was a sight to behold. A testament to humanity.
As the seconds ticked away on the clock, I felt a surge of pride swell within me. We were here, witnessing history firsthand, father and son united in awe, excitement and throughly exhausted.
I came away that early morning realizing anything was possible.
