We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. Each frame is handcrafted in and imported from Italy, and are sourced from sustainable forestry programs. All you have to do is pick which frame and linen works best for you. As I traversed through the northern threshold, entry way into the Narrows, the fabric of reality around me began to morph. Progressing through the canyon the colossal walls towered above me, casting obscure shades on the jade waters of the Virgin River. The sound of gushing water came and went sometimes overwhelming my senses, leaving no room for any other auditory perception.
In the deeper sections of the canyon, the water's temperature dropped and the depth increased as I continued to stumbled on the slippery rocks still navigating forward and downhill according to the rivers flow. Every turn revealed a new and magnificent view.
As I left the Narrows, I was overwhelmed by the beauty and strength of the place, knowing it would be unforgettable. But that I would still need to return again in the future.
