We often get asked where we come up with some of these names. In this case it was easy. Della Terra is Italian for “From the Earth.” What more do we need to say? It’s the perfect description for this wonderful style. Each piece is hand fitted with a very high end tightly woven fabric wrap, in either black or white. Each frame is handcrafted in and imported from Italy, and are sourced from sustainable forestry programs. All you have to do is pick which frame and linen works best for you. In 1992, ages ago, I took the last ‘professional’ job I would ever do again. We were moving to New Jersey where I had accepted a Director position! YES! (insert sarcasm now)
Along the way, because I had to leave earlier than the family (they were soon to follow after I found us a place to live), I made a stop into Arches National Park in Utah which wasn’t that far out of the way. I came away with perhaps the first amazing shot I’d taken. That would be an image that help launch my ‘freedom’ career. Follow the Arches National Park to see that image. Fast forward nearly thirty years and I just wanted to go back.
While you can never really ‘go back’, which is so true, I needed to do it.
It was just as stunning as I recalled. The peaks with a new dusting of spring snow, colorful lovely clouds slowly floating across the sky and subtle beautiful light hitting the freshly washed rock brought back so many wonderful feelings.
